It's been 6 full months since I left the difted Las Vegas HQ and started working from exotic locations around the world.

Thanks to the advancement of the interweb, it's as if I'm working right next to the rest of the difted team even though I'm on the other side of the globe.

I've been launching difted websites from Guatemala, Chile, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, and Thailand.

Right now I'm in Thailand. Bangkok to be exact. Stuff is cheap here. You can get a plate of Pad-Thai with a spring roll for $1.50. And after a long hard day of programming, I like to relax with a 1 hour oil massage for $6. It's a hard life.

Apologies for being MIA here on the blogs lately...it's actually a good thing, we've been stacked with projects of all sorts and between Sam, Kaleb and myself we've gone global - traveling thousands of miles in the past month to Ethiopia, Australia and Haiti for various video projects - not to forget Sammyk who is still on his journey around the world, currently stationed in Sydney, Australia. We've launched some new websites and created some new print projects along the way too. All of that to say we will be updating the portfolio with some newness.

Another thing, we're in the process of a complete redesign for the difted website, stay tuned for a Spring launch on that - follow us on twitter for updates.

Here at the Difted Hub we've been hard at work pumping out fantastic work and planning out where we're headed next. Within all the excitement, we're working on some sweet new goodies that will be popping up soon.

Welcome to my world.  As Account Executive/Project Manager, I have the heighty task of managing a creative group of people.  I just read a great article entitled "Ten Tips for Managing Creatives."  Let's see how I'm doing.

1. Cultivate a creativity-inducing space. Check.
2. Give creatives some structure. 9 to 5 it is. 
   
3. Give employees time to dream. 5pm to 8:59am.
   
4. Stress the importance of balance. Wii Fit has been ordered.
   
5. Trust the process. Basecamp.
6. Direct them at your actual problems. Working on that.
   
7. Be generous with praise. Always complimentary.  It's how mother raised me.
   
8. Allow for employee input. Done.
9. Build a team. Welcome Kaleb.  Sometimes we work with no headphones on so we can talk outside of Bonjour.
   
10. Be open to new ways of working. Six people in a 167 square foot office.  Wow.
